Terms and use conditions

Payment

The buyer can make a payment by credit card or debit card. Card transactions go through Rapyd's secure payment page.

If the buyer wishes to pay by bank transfer, the deposit must be made to Ný tunglskin ehf.'s account within 24 hours. from the purchase and send a receipt from the online bank to tunglskin@tunglskin.is. If payment is not received within that time, the order will be invalid. Account number is 0133-26-015451, Id. 680323-0460.

Delivery of products

All orders in the capital area are placed in the mail within 24 hours of ordering, unless otherwise stated, for example in the product category Magnkaup.

Orders are sent with Íslandspóstur and Íslandspóstur's delivery, warranty and transport terms apply to the delivery of the product. Please note that domestic mail can take up to 2-4 days to arrive.

Shipping costs depend on the size and scope of the shipment and only one postage fee is paid, for the most expensive shipping option.

Customers are responsible for providing the correct postal address or having the correct marked mailbox or mailbox. If a product is not in stock, we will contact you and announce the estimated delivery time or refund the product.

Returns

The buyer has 14 days from receipt of the product to cancel the purchase, provided that he has not used the product, it is returned in unopened and original packaging. If a product is sealed, the seal must not be broken. A receipt for the purchase of goods must be included. If the above conditions are met and after the product is received, a refund will be made. Shipping costs are not reimbursed and the buyer pays the shipping fee when the product is returned. If the package is not picked up at the post office, the seller reserves the right to withhold the shipping cost.

Prices

All product prices are published subject to typographical errors and we reserve the right to cancel the transaction if the wrong price is given.

Product appearance

Ný tunglskin ehf. is not responsible if the product purchased is not exactly the same color as the pictures in the online store. In some cases, colors are sharpened and images are processed for an online store so that the color tones change slightly.

Warranty terms for product purchases

A two-year warranty from the date of purchase shall generally apply to the product listed on the warranty certificate, whether the buyer is a consumer or a company. Products which, by their nature, have a shorter service life shall not, however, have such a long warranty period. This applies to batteries, for example, but a one-year warranty from the date of the sales note applies to batteries in telephones and a six-month warranty for batteries in cordless telephones.

The warranty also does not cover indirect damage due to possible defects in the device, but the buyer is advised of the possibility of insuring against such with insurance companies.

The warranty does not cover faults that the manufacturer or seller will not be blamed for, such as faults caused by transport, incorrect handling or misuse, poor maintenance, accidents or mishaps, natural disasters, faults in the electrical system of the house or utility, etc.

If the buyer considers a product to be defective, he must present a warranty certificate (sales note).

If a product is found to be defective, such as in the case of a factory defect, the seller assesses whether it is appropriate to try to repair the product or whether a new product should be delivered. If the buyer receives a new product, the warranty period is valid from the day the new product was delivered.
The seller is not responsible for defects that can be traced to the buyer or circumstances affecting him, such as incorrect use or incorrect handling of the product, moisture or shock damage, incorrect installation or lack of upgrades, poor maintenance, accidents or mishaps. The same applies if the buyer does not follow the seller's and / or manufacturer's instructions on the handling of the product or if the buyer or a third party has used the product. If a product is found to be damaged by damage or moisture, the buyer bears the burden of proving that the product was defective in other respects.

The seller is not responsible for defects that can be traced to uncontrollable events, such as natural disasters, interruptions to the electrical system in the premises or neighborhood, etc.

The seller is not responsible for defects that may be due to software errors.

The buyer must notify the seller of the defect as soon as it is noticed. If a defect is not notified within two years of the buyer receiving the product, he cannot claim the defect later.

Repairs

If it turns out after the inspection that the telephone is not defective or for other reasons not responsible at Ný tunglskin ehf. (such as if there is shock or moisture damage according to the repairer's assessment), the customer must pay an inspection fee in accordance with the repairer's price list each time.
